Welcome back for another edition of Caturday, where we catch up on the week's latest cat news, and get to meet some of your amazing kitties!
This week, Grammy winner Adele got catified, Mary battled cat food addiction, the Anfield cat got patched up, Larry the Downing Street cat had a party, the Tampa Bay Rays debuted a new kitty mascot, the Museum of Modern Art hosted some enthusiastic cat lovers, "Portlandia" recruited a feline cast member, Opening Ceremony collaborated with Glamour on a limited edition cat sweater, kittens got the royal treatment at London's first luxury pet spa, we compiled some cat nail art inspiration, and a custom kitty ukulele played us off!
Also, don't forget to enter for your chance to win a "Cat Ladies Unite!" tote by Cat Versus Human! I must say I've been absolutely overwhelmed by the response so far, but it only helps solidify my belief that cat ladies are standing strong - uniting loud and proud throughout the world!
Lastly: I'd like to take a moment to welcome my newest sponsor, Sweet Pickles' Designs! Established in 2010, the inspiration behind the collection of stylish, handmade breakaway cat collars was none other than the owner's own beautiful black & white kitten, Pickles! Please be sure to stop by their shop to check out the entire line - including the glamorous glitter designs that were featured in my 2011 holiday gift guide!
This week's featured feline is already a legend in name, and way less hairy than a Wookiee!
I just wanted to share these photos of my beautiful girl, Han Solo. She's a 5-month-old Sphynx cat. We are all so in love with her!
We have four pupcakes and they just adore her. She's just such a lovable lil' angel, full of sparkle and personality. She's brought so much joy to all of us and we all love her to pieces. I've never seen best friends like Han Solo and my four pupcakes. They play, sleep, cuddle, and clean each other. They're all so close, proving that cats and dogs do get along!
Watch as Han Solo enjoys her Cat Scratch DJ Christmas present (good luck getting the song out of your head!)
Special thanks to Becs for sharing her adorable kitten with us this week! You can also check out her pet-themed website and online dog boutique here.
