If you're a follower of Cute Overload, one of my very favorite original cute animal photo sharing sites on the web, then no doubt you're already privy to the world of Meme the kitten, and the rest of her feline family. The infamous Exotic Shorthair, who was born in 2007, quickly went on to be crowned "The Cutest Kitten in the World" by the site (you're definitely going to want to click that link for more pics), and still makes frequent appearances today. Now all grown up, Meme lives in Tokyo (naturally) with her owner Sakurako Shimizu, and her cat parents Fuku (Dad) and Goma (Mom).
Meme today, all grown up!
The furry trio are all quite popular in Japan where they have published 3 books and a DVD, but unless you're lucky enough to live there, or are ready to renew your passport for the sake of cute kitty memorabilia, you've been pretty much out of luck. However, I recently discovered that you can bring home a bit of Meme, Fuku, and Goma for yourself through the F.G.M. Etsy shop. While it doesn't offer up quite the same selection as their "real" (Japanese only) online store (full of awesome t-shirts, pillows, and more), you can still pick up some thoughtfully designed notecards, pins, and stickers, for a fairly reasonable price.
