Back in October, I had the pleasure of meeting the talented Steph Mantis at the Tidy Cats Pet Projects Design Challenge party in NYC. In addition to being super cool and having an awesome name (hehe), Mantis makes her home in Brooklyn where she creates "quirky household items that transform a banal area of your home into a place of fantasy and whimsy."

One of Mantis' hottest selling items are her Animal Butt magnet sets, which were recently touted by The New York Times as one of the top Home and Decorating holiday gift ideas for under $25. The night I encountered Steph, she was wearing her "Kitty Kitty Necklace," a true conversation starter. The piece is part of her Siamese Twins Collection, which features two-headed cats, camels, and narwhals constructed out of solid brass, and plated in 24 kt gold, silver, or gun metal (my personal fav, shown).
