It's Caturday!

Welcome back for another edition of Caturday, where we catch up on the week's latest cat news, and get to meet some of your amazing kitties!

This week was all about holiday gift guides, with my carefully curated selections for the cat lady, cat man, good kitty, and pop culture pussycat in your life! We also admired the latest cat-themed cover of Harper's Bazaar Brazil, wiled away the hours with the Procatinator, coveted cool kitty cosmetics from Paul & Joe, got stuck on Cat Butt Magnets by Steph Mantis, and drooled over yummy Kitty Cat Sushi Rolls by Vondelicious!

In other news, I'm happy to report that "Paws," the savvy 3-legged stray that made her way into a Florida PR agency in search of shelter, has been reunited with her owner! Selig Multimedia, Inc. reports that shortly after their press release hit the web, the lost cat's owner came forward to claim her. The kitty, whose real name is Heather (I was right, she's a lady!) is now being taken care of and is "warm and safe."

Glenn Selig, president and CEO of Selig Multimedia issued a statement saying, "Thanks to everyone around the U.S. and Canada who offered to help. There are a lot of really wonderful, caring people in this world. And it's reassuring to know that."

And finally, ladies and gents step right up, and don't be shy! The 6 Packs 9 Lives 2012 Calendar Giveaway is still going on through Monday, so get your entry in today for a chance to win a year's worth of hot guys with cats!

This week's featured feline story is a little more subdued than usual, and is a tribute to three special cats that have touched reader Mary's heart very deeply.

She writes,

"Frankie and Louie are not with me now, they're in cat heaven. I had to adopt Midnight out after I was put in a bad situation, and I miss him.

Frankie was the alpha male, and he loved to climb and play. Even though he was diabetic, it didn't stop him! Louie was the clown and Midnight the lover, they were all good hunters but I wasn't crazy about the gifts they brought home, especially the ones I had to chase around and save! They all loved Temptations treats, and would sit and give me their paw to get them (not that I asked them to), they just did it on their own. They were all very affectionate and loving boys."

Frankie

Louie

Midnight

Special thanks to Mary for sharing "her boys" with us this week. I'm sure that Frankie and Louie are looking down over her from over the Rainbow Bridge, and that sweet Midnight is missing her as much as he misses him. Please everyone, hug your cats extra tight this Caturday in honor of these three wonderful felines!

So glad Heather is back in her loving home=what an adorable girl!...We are really sorry for Mary's loss of her 3 precious boys; we're sure Midnight misses his Mommy, but she made the ultimate sacrifice for her sweetheart=giving him a loving home when she was unable to take care of him...Wishing Mary comfort and peace...xoxo...J, Calle, Halle, Sukki

Frankie and Louie were so handsome!! And we are sorry Mary had to give Midnight up. We hope he is happy in his new home...but we know he will always remember his first mom.
