It's Caturday!

Welcome back for another edition of Caturday, where we catch up on the week's latest cat news, and get to meet some of your amazing kitties!

This week, Baby the cat survived a fire thanks to a pet oxygen mask donation, Aishia shared the ginger kitty cupcakes she baked for charity, we discovered the gorgeous feline wood carvings of artist Bryn Perrott, Fresh Step unveiled a knit cat hat to benefit the ASPCA, and we rounded up six pairs of cat socks to show off your kitty pride.

Elsewhere, don't forget to enter for your chance to win an adorable, hand painted kitty pillow by TUFT! I'm drawing the lucky winner this coming Tues. 1/22!

Lucky

This week's featured feline is a box loving boy sent in by Betty, who writes:

Here's my Lucky on the day after Christmas. He decided he liked the box better than the toys. =^-^=.

I found Lucky in my garden about four years ago. He was very small, about two pounds, and dehydrated. He tried to get away from me but was too weak, so I took him to the vet who told me he was lucky I found him, hence his name. She thought he wouldn't have survived otherwise, and I feel lucky to have him, too. He's 4-years-old and about 12 pounds now, so I call him my "Big Guy".  He loves to sit next to me and is very tactile for a cat. By that, I mean he puts his paw around me when he sits next to me!

Special thanks to Betty for sharing her fortunate feline with us this week!

Boxes are better than what's in them most of the time.
