It's Caturday!

What a week for cat news! We had pink kittens, kittens in casts, cats and cellphones, cats and iPads, and it was all topped off with a heartwarming cat reunion for the history books! My own cats even got in on the action with Charlie's brand new kitty condo (of sin), and Priscilla's impromptu book review.

I have some even more exciting posts coming up next week that I can hardly wait to share with you! Last night the kitties took a maiden voyage (separately, mind you) in their new stroller, so you'll be hearing all about that, and I have another great giveaway coming your way for a unique, personalized item I featured a few months back.

Bruce Wayne Max

For this week's edition of Caturday, Lynn writes in to tell us about her scrappy little senior kitty named Max! This caped crusader is a retired "superhero/gladiator" with a zest for life and a passion for kitty treats, roast chicken, and steak mince.

Lynn says, "This old gentlemen is Max, he's 17-years-old this month. He came to us as a stray and we named him Maximus after the Gladiator because he looked like a scrappy old fighter, but we later learned that he was named "Batman" ("Batty" for short), when we met his old family! Our local paper recently came to take his picture and do a story about his recent misadventure when he ran away from home and how we got him back."

You can read Max's whole story on his Facebook page, where I also learned that his personal interests include, "peeing, sunbathing, riding in the car, chasing off foxes, and training hoomins to be at his beck and call."

Max is such a handsome fellow, and I'm sure he'd have even Catwoman herself purring in an instant! I'm so happy to hear that he found his way back home after his little (mis)adventure, and am thankful to his "hoomin" Lynn for taking the time to share his story with us this week!

If you aren't already, be sure to follow Catsparella on Facebook and Twitter for all of the latest cat updates on the web! You can also subscribe to posts through RSS or Email to ensure you don't miss one second of total feline domination!

Max sure is a good looking boy. Love how he is in charge of the humans. All of ours are definitely in charge around here. Hope you have a fantastic week end.

Thanks to Lynn and Catsparella for sharing Max's story with us!

Enjoyed the post very much. Max, I'm jealous of how you look in your costume. A roman collar just doesn't come close!

Have a great weekend!

Oh Max is such a handsome man!! I giggled when I read the part "passion for kitty treats, roast chicken, and steak mince." It's always good to have passion for food :-)

I loved the video of a lady reunited with her missing kitty during TV interview. Miracles do happen... :-)

Ha ha ha--Batty Max :-) He is a way cool Mancat. I love his costume, but he's even more handsome without it.
