Servane Gaxotte Cat Pendants

Last week I came across the above image of delicate silver cats wearing fashionable frocks, and was intrigued, as no details were given to identify their mysterious origin.

Today, completely by accident, I came across their source - Servane Gaxotte, a costume jewelry designer from Paris who has been creating these wearable works of cat art since 2002, as part of her "Rose" doll pendant collection.

The intricately designed charms are about 3.9 inches long, and can be removed from their chains by a lobster clasp. More than just necklaces, they can also be used as bag accessories and keychains.

While certainly covet worthy, these high-fashion felines come at a cost. The kitty lady above, sporting a Swarovski crystal studded bodice and purse, will set you back £365.00 (nearly $600 USD)!

Oh goodness, they are gorgeous! My Mommeh almost opened up her wallet, until she saw the price. I think it will go on her wish list!
