Welcome back for another edition of Caturday, where we catch up on the week's latest cat news, and get to meet some of your amazing kitties!
This week, the Hermitage honored their famous felines with fancy cat portraits, Jennifer created irresistible Grumpy Cat and unicorn poop cupcakes, and we met Baby Bug, the Instagram celebrity that no one wanted!
Also, there's still time to enter to win a copy of the hilarious 80s parody magazine, Catmopolitan! I'm drawing the lucky winner this coming Tues. Aug 20!
This week's featured feline is a pretty little lady who knows how to get what she wants!
Gina likes to spend her time ignoring me until the minute I need to leave, and then she has to sit on me. She also refuses to leave guests alone, loving on them constantly. When we lived at my parent's farm, she'd love to hunt birds and mice. She lives a happy, spoiled life, and I let her get away with everything.
My sister ordered Gina a bunch of presents for my birthday. She didn't get off the box it came in for three days.
Holding me down.
Why is she so spoiled? She was an abandoned kitten. When the pound picked her up, they estimated she was seven months old and spayed. She was there for two months and never claimed. When I went to the shelter, the attendant tried to talk me out of adopting her saying she was probably too high strung for me, but she was climbing her cage wall wanting to meet me.
Crazy eyes in the office!
She stayed on my lap, I petted her, I stopped, she walked away, I snapped my fingers, and she came back. We did this several times, until I informed the attendant she was mine! She was a crazy kitten. She would often run laps around the kitchen island until she got bored, then abruptly change course and take a header into a cabinet. She is crazy, spoiled, and loved. She's so popular I was told I had to submit her to you.
Special thanks to Elizabeth for sharing Miss Gina with us this week! I just love the cool black marking on her nose!
