It's Caturday!

Welcome back for another edition of Caturday, where we catch up on the week's latest cat news and get to meet some of your amazing kitties!

This week, we dared to bare in feline inspired swimwear, Keyboard Cat came to life with an animatronic plush toy, a PR agency sought to hire a Cat Video Technologist, and JapanLA celebrated their 7th anniversary with the "Kitty Party" clothing collection

Elsewhere, we met Pebbles and her tuxedo cat inspired cupcakes, Hamilton the Hipster Cat and his purrfect mustache, and were inspired by Freida the Throwaway Kitty, with her big spirit and tiny sweaters!

Lucy

This week's featured feline is a one-eyed wonder kitty, who helped Caitlin heal after the loss of her beloved cat, Zoe.

Caitlin writes:

I just wanted to submit my lovely new baby to possibly be featured on CATURDAY! Previously this year, my cat model son, Lewis Meriwether Little, was featured with a shout out to his angry, old and beautiful older cat sister, Zoe. This February, Zoe, who had been with me for 15 years, ever since I was a little girl, passed away on the night of my birthday.

Needless to say I was devastated. I had her cremated, and on the way to pick up her ashes, my friend suggested we look around the Humane Society. In doing so, we turned the corner and the first baby that caught my eye was LUCY(Lucy Woolf Little), the one eyed wonder cat!

I bent down to say hi and she crazily scratched the cardboard box and I knew I must have her. A psycho like that needs to live at my house. Being broke at the time, a dear friend of mine spotted me the money so that the hole in my heart would be a little less gaping. When I got to meet her in the "get to know your potential animal" room at the Humane Society, she just cuddled right up to me, confirming the universe's decision that she belonged in my home.

Lewis

They said she lost her eye because she had some sort of eyelid problem, but she also has a pellet behind her ear making me think maybe someone shot her. Life on the streets is a tough on for a girl cat. At first she and Lewis were not friends, Lucy surely used to having to brawl constantly on the hard streets of Omaha, felt a bit scared, but now they play and occasionally sleep in the same room with minimal distance from each other. Lucy likes hiding under the bed and attacking things as well as dancing. SHOW BIZ CAT FAMILY!

Special thanks to my fellow cat lady, Caitlin, for sharing Lucy's story with us this week! I'm so sorry for the loss of sweet Zoe, but glad that Lucy came along to help mend the kitty sized hole in her heart.

I love meeting these sweet little ones and their humans.

I just got my cat hanger...I think I will have to hang something out in the living room to show it off! It's a hit with me for sure! Thanks for all of the cat themed things you feature.

That's a great story about how Caitlin found Lucy and took her home.
