Jersey Shore Star 'The Situation' Teams Up With PETA To Flash His Abs For Felines

As the final season of Jersey Shore rolls on, a kinder, gentler Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino has emerged. In addition to trying to make amends with Snooki and contemplating getting wifed up with up Paula, the now sober Sitch has taken time out of his busy beach house schedule to flash his abs for the felines.

In a new campaign for PETA, a shirtless, kitty cuddling Mike tackles the animal overpopulation crisis by encouraging folks to spay and neuter their pets. He explains that the real "Situation" is that there are more cats in shelters than there are homes for them.


Help End Animal Overpopulation With The Situation

In addition to the provocative ads that read, "Cats and dogs need safe sex, too!" and "Too Much Pu**y Can Be a Bad Thing," Sorrentino also made a video where he urges animal lovers to adopt from shelters and to consider if they can afford a pet before taking one home.



PETA says they teamed up with the reality star to help spread awareness of animal homelessness and of the fact that we really do have the power to help animals have a better life. I know there's a joke in here somewhere about Snooki getting pregnant, but since I'm a nice Jersey girl and she's a cat lover, I'm just going to let this one go.

Can it be true? As much as Jersey Shore star Snooki loves her hot, tan, gorilla juiceheads, she revealed on Sirius/XM Radio last week that she wouldn't let a guy interfere with the close relationships she has with her pets. When pressed by The Morning Mashup host Rich Davis on if she'd pick her cats over a man, she replied, "Of course. I mean, [the boyfriend] will always be around. You never know when my cat's going to die."

Flawed logic, perhaps, but her heart is in the right place! Snooki currently has four furry BFFs - Her puppy, Gia, and three cats - Rocky, Tommy, and Vito.

The Real Cats of Jersey Shore

Jersey Shore fans will remember that in between the hook-us and, ahem, cat-fights this season, several episodes featured shots of random cats chilling around the cast's Miami pad. MTV News recently sat down with JWOWW to clear up the real story behind the unidentified Miami house guests.

"Oh, Pickles! Our baby that we fed every day. Me and Nicole actually went shopping once a week and got cat food. There was, like, two or three, but Pickles and Tiger were our favorites. They were strays that we took care of. Once, Pickles came into our house and came into our bedroom. It was kind of creepy, but I love animals and so does Nicole. We always made sure they were taken care of."

Jersey Shore star Snooki took to her YouTube channel today to talk about her love of animals. America's favorite guidette introduced us to her her new puppy Gia, and her three cats - Thomas, Rocky, and Vito.

Snooks on Rocky: "One of them is like my best friend, but we're not talking now because he's upset I got a dog. Jerk."

The Smoking Gun reports that Jersey Shore "party's here!" cast member, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, has been denied a trademark on her name for the purpose of publishing books because one already exists for a similarly marmalade colored, cuddly creature - Snooky the Cat.

The U.S. Patent and Trademark office may have a good point. Snooki and Snooky are one in the same. As People points out, they are both orange, can go a bit overboard, and know the value of friendship. Most importantly, they are both most notorious for their time spent at the shore as showcased on MTV, and in one of Snooky the cat's books, Adventures of Snooky: Under the Sea.

However, one important question still remains: What kind of books does Snooki (the guidette) plan on publishing?
