I Can Has Cheezburger & Garfield 2014 Cat Calendar Giveaway!

When it comes to calendars, you know I'm always picking a kitty one. The folks at Andrews McMeel Publishing know this too, so they sent me a I Can Has Cheezburger 2014 calendar and Garfield 2014 calendar to review!

Charlie can has cheezburger?

Before I got my paws on them though, Charlie decided to adopt them as his own. I'm not sure why a cat needs a calendar (as far as he's concerned, every day is Caturday), but I just didn't have the heart to tell him that.

Aww, they're not so bad!

Seriously though, the wall calendars are super cool and cute. The ICHC calendar is colorful and features collages of clever kitty captions, while the Garfield "I Hate Mondays" calendar is purrfect for the real life grumpy cat in your life!

The Oatmeal, I Can Has Cheezburger, and Awkward Family Pet Photos Mega Cat Calendar Giveaway!

A wise person (me) once tweeted, "I don't know what 2013 will bring, but I'll have plenty of cat calendars to get me through it."

It's true, I've gone cat calendar crazy this year, and my latest acquisitions are three covetable titles from Andrews McMeel Publishing, that encapsulate all that is awesome about internet cat culture.

The Oatmeal How to tell if your cat is plotting to kill you 2013 Wall Calendar

Fans of Matthew Inman's The Oatmeal will appreciate this 2013 offering dedicated to some of the quirky artist's most popular feline-inspired comics. There's the title-bearing, "How to tell if your cat is plotting to kill you" (also available as a recently released book), "6 ways to tell if your cat is a mountain lion," and "How kittens are plotting to take over the world." As an added bonus, the wall calendar also comes with a pull-out poster dedicated to The Oatmeal classic, "How to pet a kitty," that will have you meowing-out-loud, all year long.

I Can Has Cheezburger 2013 Day-to-Day Calendar

The LOLcats of I Can Has Cheezburger's 2013 page-a-day calendar need no introduction. Filled with felines who still can't quite manage their grasp on propurr English, each day of reader submitted kitty pics is cuter than the last. Every tear-out page contains a bonus "Daily Extra" on the back, including everything from grocery lists and trivia, to silly jokes, Sudoku, and more.

Awkward Family Photos: Pet Edition 2013 Day-to-Day Calendar

Awkward Family Pet Photos isn't just a website and book, but also a calendar (and cubicle conversation piece) filled with eyebrow-raising, giggle-worthy shots of embarrassingly awkward, silly, and just plain strange pics of people with their pets. It's not all kitties here though, as dogs, ferrets, and even pigs find their place among the 365-days of absurdity.

Cats of Instagram 2013 Wall Calendar Preview

Cats of Instagram 2013 Wall Calendar

As I recently mentioned, if there's one major benefit to Instagram, it's the easily searchable cat pictures in all their filtered glory. And if you've spent any time at all on the free photo sharing app, you know one account that stands above the rest when it comes to curating kitty pix is Cats of Instagram (@cats_of_instagram).

You didn't think I was going to do a review without using Instagram, did you?

Created by pals Eli + Geo, COI showcases cat pictures from photographers from around the world, who vie for a chance to be featured in their feed by adding the #catsofinstagram hashtag to their shots. Since its inception last year, the popular community has grown to over 351,000 dedicated feline fanatics, who appreciate beautiful feline photography.

In light of their recent success, Cats of Instagram recently threw open the doors to an online shop that stocks COI-inspired apparel, prints, cards and more. Another upcoming addition I'm excited to preview for you is their 2013 wall calendar, featuring photos hand selected from their Instagram feed.

The spiral bound calendar, which is produced by Keepsy, includes 72 cat and kitten photos (six per month) to help get you through the year in feline style. Some months have a definite theme (February is full of snuggle bunnies and March is kitties enjoying Springtime splendor), while others are less cohesive (no black cats for October? c'mon!), yet still adorable nonetheless.

The Cats of Instagram Calendar will be released on Nov. 2 for $19.95 through the COI Store. In the meantime, stop by their site and start tagging your pics to give your cat a shot at their 15 minutes of fame.

Disclosure: Cats of Instagram provided me with a free copy of their calendar for review, but all thoughts, opinions, and moody Instagram shots expressed in this post are my own.
