Hippity-hop! It's almost Easter, and these cute kitties are none too pleased! In fact, they're downright disapproving, and ready to leave you some chocolate eggs of their own!

Designer Tsumori Chisato Loves Cats
Paris-based Japanese fashion designer Tsumori Chisato, is known for her cuteness aesthetic, and for her love for cats, the latter of which often show up in her work! Chisato recently took her kitty obsession to the next level, with a side-collection of clothing called Cat's - A boldly adorable celebration of felines in the form of tees, totes, and leggings!
A few of my favorite pieces from the Cat's collection are shown above, and you can click here to view the entire offering online. Sadly, most of the pieces are only for sale overseas, but I was able to find a few items available to U.S. shoppers at Revolve Clothing. My pick is this Long Sleeve Smile Cat Sweatshirt ($138.00), shown above, that also comes in a longer dress/tunic style.
While researching Tsumori, I found that Cat's is not her first foray into feline fashion. The animal-friendly designer also created this squee-worthy sparkly makeup palette for Shu Uemura back in 2009. The compact is no longer available, but was too cute not to share. I know, I know - Why do I torture you so?
And finally, although not officially part of the Cat's line, these wood framed Cat Sunglasses in Black ($427), also by Chisato, are dangerously cute, and a must for any aspiring Catwoman!

Kittens Enjoy a "Busy Day" in Vintage Children's Book

I have a small collection of unusual cat books, and decided that maybe it was time to dust some off and share them with you! In the first installment of Catsparella's Bookshelf, we have "Busy Day," a hardcover children's picture book by Suzanne Green, published in 1987. The 28-page book documents a day in the life of a trio of precious little kittens, and their disciplinarian mother.
Our story begins with sister kitty sewing herself an apron while said mother is out running some errands.
Things start to go awry when mama cat returns, and sees that the wee kits have made a big mess while she was out.
She sets them off on a series of tasks, including sweeping floors -
And washing windows!
After lunch and chores are complete, she gives the kittens permission to play!
It's been a busy day indeed, and Mother reads them a story before tucking them in for the night.
It's important to point out that no animals were harmed in the creation of the book, and the introducton also contains an interesting Note to Grown-Ups that both reassures and warns readers that the "Pelorian Cats" seen in "Busy Day" are no ordinary kitties.
In other words, don't try this at home!

Creepy Kitty Candle

Designer Thorunn Arnadottir has created this deceptively cute cat candle, ominously named, "The Devil's Pet." What's so sinister about it? The waxy pink figure melts down to reveal a creepy silver skeleton underneath.
Arnadottir says:
The ball of yarn is the candle wick itself, so it will end up as a devilish looking scorned cat skeleton with the ball of yarn on fire at its side.
The candle brings to light (literally) the contrasting and rich typologies attached to an every day object such as a candle and how we seem to have lost sight of its original function and meaning.
One flame = peace / romance
Many flames = CATastrophy
Cat = innocence / cute
Cat = the devil's pet

Babies and their Cats
I was treated to a sweet surprise last night, when Josh submitted this adorable picture of his daughter, Leighton and his kitten, Tempe, caught in an extremely precious pose! Josh says, "Tempe is giving my daughter a head massage."
Tiny animals + tiny people = major cuteness!
Coincidentally, right before receiving Josh's email, I was watching this great video find from ilove.cat, of a baby cuddling with Sadie, AKA THE NICEST, MOST TOLERANT CAT IN THE WORLD.
The look on this poor kitty's face at 0:17 gets me every time!
