Cats Wallpaper by Baines & Fricker

So the the Omega Cats wallpaper was too bold for you, and you don't have time to painstakingly stencil hundreds of kitties on your wall? Another cute (albeit pricey) option in the world of cat decor is the pretty pastel Cats Wallpaper by Baines & Fricker, currently available at Anthropologie.

The feline-inspired wall coverings are made in the UK, and feature carefree kitty heads, floating in a sea of mint or pink. Each $198 roll is digitally printed, and includes enough cats to cover 56 square feet.

TUFT Hand Painted Cat Pillow Giveaway!

Hand painted pink pillows

I'm pretty sure it was all the pink that initially drew me to Jessica Leigh Jones' TUFT Etsy shop, but in the end, I stayed for the cats. The fashion designer, writer, and illustrator currently resides in Nashville with her boyfriend and their gorgeous cat, Olive, who no doubt inspires her line of feline-inspired goods.

"You Have Cat To Be Kitten Me" Crop Top

Jessica, who named the brand after her favorite shade of pink ("A Candy Tuft"), cites growing up in the grunge laden 90s and being in a teenager in the bubblegum pop-tinged 2000s as major influences behind her aesthetic, which also includes bejeweled headbands and bow-sleeved dresses (I'm also a fan of the "Bitches Love Witches" design).

Cats and Strawberries Canvas Zippered Pouch

If you're feeling feline, pick up a daring crop top and matching tote in her hand painted "You Have Cat To Be Kitten Me" print, or cuddle up to one of her whimsical cat pillows, available in various sizes and color combinations.

Purrfidious Cat Clock Giveaway!

Fluffy Fuchsia Carpet (also available in black)

I recently became obsessed with Purrfidious Etsy shop, thanks to its chic array of accessories and decor with the modern cat lover in mind.

Coaster Set

Purrfidious is the brain child of Marta, a feline fancier from Poland who was inspired by her love of all things cat to create a line of goods that won't just sit on your shelf and gather dust. She uses various materials to create her designs, which include clocks and coasters, stylish jewelry, mugs, rugs, and more.

Chain Bracelet with Cat Head Charm

Watercolor Glass Ring

I asked Marta to tell me a little more about her two feline muses, Ozzy and Iggy, and here's what she had to say:

I always wanted to have a cat. When I was a child, I saw a Sheba ad in a magazine that we got from friends from Western Germany. We still had communism in Poland at that time, and everything that came from the Western world seemed to be so colorful and perfect, including the blue British Shorthair cat from the ad.

Ozzy

When I grew up and moved into my own house with my boyfriend, my dream came true when we got our first cat, a chocolate colored British Shorthair named Ozzy. After a few months, we brought him a blue-eyed friend named Iggy. Iggy loves the camera, and that's why he attends all photo shoots, and I call him my marketing manager. He seriously could sell anything!

Iggy

My cats are big and totally round - round head, round ears, round eyes. That's why most of my designs are following this shape. Even my mugs look heavy ;)

What I want to offer to my customers is simple, nice design, so different from all that you can buy for cat lovers. Unfortunately my mother-in-law-to-be is still giving me gifts that I'm running away from: for instance tinsel cats made of glass and other dust catchers... She seems not to get my idea of gifts for a cat person. She couldn't be my marketing manager, but I already have Iggy to do that ;)

Marta has generously offered one lucky Catsparella reader the chance to win their choice of a wood or acrylic cat clock from the Purrfidious Etsy shop! Choose from the following colors: Black or white acrylic, or pine, walnut, or bleached pine colored wood.

Crafty Kitty Dolls And Pillows By Patti Haskins

I always admire a crafty cat lady like Patti Haskins, the Dallas, TX based graphic designer who sews, stuffs, and crochets her way to lovely cat-themed dolls and decor.

Haskins begins by drawing one of her catty designs on vibrant fabric, before cutting it out and turning it into the purrfect accent pillow. She also makes brightly colored crocheted cat dolls with her signature big-mouthed faces, that can be custom made to match your kitty's unique color and markings. Her line of handmade catnip snakes are decidedly more sassy than slithering, and most kitties will agree that they look like a whapping good time!

Patti shares her home with two dogs and five cats, and I was sad to read that her dog Mickey was recently diagnosed with cancer-spindle cell sarcoma. He underwent surgery a few weeks ago to remove the lump, and as Patti writes on her blog: "Now we are to find out how aggressive that cancer is and the next course we’ll take, radiation most likely. Like mother like son. I had a lumpectomy, chemo and radiation. I hope he doesn’t have to go through all that. It sucks. Anyhow, this is going to cost us plenty so if you ever thought of buying something from my shop, now would be the perfect time."
