Vogue Pairs Cats & Flats With Purrfect Results

Pignoli

I've always been enamored with high-fashion cat photo shoots, and Vogue.com doesn't disappoint with their latest installment of meow-couture. Every day this month they've been combining the exquisite combination of felines and flats, into a daily photo feature highlighting the hottest spring shoes.

Mind you, this is Vogue and these aren't just any cats. The Grace Coddington-approved models include adoptable cats from Anjellicle Cats and Bideawee in NYC, and Instagram glitterati like Princess Monster Truck, whose striking underbite is redefining standards of beauty in the feline world, and beyond.

Check out "The Cat and the Flat: Spring Shoes and Kittens Make the Perfect Pair" for even more stunning shots, and watch for a new image to be posted there every day through the end of March!

Rihanna is up for adoption from Bideawee.

Tommy

The internet's own Princess Monster Truck.

Florence is up for adoption from Bideawee.

George

Charlie and Tiramisu, whose nickname is "Susy" BECAUSE OF COURSE IT IS.

Not to play favorites here, but let me just tell you that there is a new "IT" cat in town, and her name is TARAJI.

Taraji works..

Taraji lurks...

And Taraji's tiny face is the only thing that could distract you from these amazing $725 patent-leather printed Miu Miu flats.

THE END.

Fuel Your Black Cat Addiction With Marc by Marc Jacobs Clothing & Accessories

1. Rue Cat Intarsia Sweatshirt / 2. Cotton Rue Printed Tee / 3. Rue Tablet Case / 4. Rue Lenticular iPhone 5 Case / 5. Rue Lenticular Bag Charm / 6. Art Cat Watch / 7. Rue Raised iPhone Case (also available for iPad & iPad mini) / 8. Lenticular Rue Ring / 9. Lenticular Rue Pin / 10. Rue Pouch / 11. Alternate view of the hologram on the lenticular iPhone 5 Case shown in 4.

I'm already a huge Marc Jacobs fan, so it's no surprise that I'm currently obsessing over the new Marc by Marc Jacobs collection of black cat-inspired clothing and accessories, that includes some of my favorite feline-themed fashions from the designer to date!

The "Rue" print, which made its debut last year in the form of funky flats and fluorescent iPhone cases, is all grown up, having morphed from a cartoonish kitty into a regal feline.
The black cat brings the collection to life, on shirts and electronics cases, along with an artsy watch, leather pouch, and covet-worthy holographic accessories that I wouldn't mind crossing my path. I love it all!

Catwoman Claws Her Way Into The Forever 21 "Bats & Cats" Collection

Street-Chic Faux Leather Baseball Cap

Forever 21 has been all over cat fashion lately, but their latest foray into the world of feline style is an insanely awesome tribute to Catwoman, and oh yeah -- that bat dude too (just kidding, the Batman stuff is equally great).

Unlike past kitty collabos with the likes of Garfield, Hello Kitty, and the ASPCA, which tended to be more lighthearted, the "Bats & Cats" collection of exclusive designs is dark, sexy, and super cool. Fans of the comic book vixen will be treated to spiked out sweaters, cropped tops, and head gear sporting some serious hardware. Also on the accessories side, highlights include cat ear headbands, diamond studded sunglasses, and a feline-inspired charm bracelet that Selina Kyle would die for.

The Bats & Cats Collection ranges in price from $2.80 to $39.80, and is available now at Forever21.com.

PetSmart Halloween Costume And Cat Toy Review & Giveaway!

October is my favorite month of the year, and now that it's finally arrived, I'm officially allowed to start talking about Halloween!

A few weeks ago, PetSmart offered to send Charlie and Priscilla Halloween costumes of their own, and who am I to deny my beloved kitties the chance to express themselves?

Actually, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have been too upset if the email had been accidentally deleted from my inbox, but still, I forged ahead with the absurdly difficult task of choosing costumes that would uniquely complement their individual styles (in case you hadn't noticed, I take the cat Halloween costume selection process very seriously).

Every year I've noticed an appreciable increase in feline-friendly costumes that are designed to fit a cat's body shape. Although doggie sized suits still reign, I was pleasantly surprised to find an awesome selection of cat costumes on the PetSmart site, ranging from a clown and pirate, to the cutest darn sailor you've ever seen.

If I had my way, Priscilla would have donned a fairy outfit complete with wings and a tutu, but in the interest of not losing an arm, I opted for the pretty princess hat, complete with fancy jewels and festive sprig of tulle shooting out of the top.

Princess Priscilla

Charlie, on the other hand, the sweetheart of our family, also has a devilish side that I thought would be brought of purrfectly by the devil hood. The red cap, with a velcro closure, benefits from sparkling red sequins and black feather accents, and even has a dapper little bow-tie on the neck.

Charlie the Lil' Devil

One thing to keep in mind when selecting a costume for your cat is their comfort level, and what will suit their needs. I happen to know that Priscilla is ok wearing hats (pop one on her head and she strikes a fierce pose), but would not be comfortable wearing an outfit, so I chose accordingly. Also, costumes are fun for photo-ops, but not recommended for long term wear. They should always be worn under supervision.

Once our photo shoot ended, the cats were rewarded with some adorable Halloween catnip toys from the Martha Stewart Pets collection. The feathered jingle witch and pumpkin immediately drew Prissy's attention, while the jumbo mouse was a hit with Charlie, the bunny kick champion.

I love you, jingle pumpkin!
