Street Artist Hanksy Releases His (Will) Ferrell Cats Into The World

Feral cats: Colin Farrell, Will Ferrell, and Pharrell Williams

Pop culture obsessed street artist Hansky (the NYC-based bastard love child of Tom Hanks and renowned street artist, Banksy) has once again taken it to the streets, with a tongue and cheek tribute to beloved comedy star, Will Ferrell.

Playing off the comedian's last name, the clever artist created a series of "Ferrell Cats" (get it?), which includes the actor's likeness in feline form, along with other famous ferals like Colin Farrell (what has he been up to lately?) and rapper/uber-producer, Pharell Williams.

Want to see more? Check out the rest of the hilarious "Ferrell Cats" series over on The Huffington Post.

Nominations can be made once a day through June 29th!

Cool Cats with Creepy LED Eyes Line the Streets of Barcelona

If encountering the flashing eyes of your own cat in a dimly lit hallway weren't startling enough, imagine walking down a city street, only to be faced with a pack of demon-eyed pussycats gazing menacingly back at you in the darkness.

Art collective Ojo Señor recreated the dastardly effect of tapetum lucidem, or eyeshine, on posters studded with LED lights that were hung around the streets of Barcelona. The idea came to them "one night when they saw a cat staring at them with shiny eyes," and was inspired by a quote from Edgar Allan Poe's short story, The Black Cat.

"Upon its head, with red extended mouth and solitary eye of fire, sat the hideous beast whose craft had seduced me into murder, and whose informing voice had consigned me to the hangman." ~ Edgar Allan Poe, The Black Cat

Cats on the Wall: The Colorful World of Feline Street Art

Over on
The Cat's Meow, Catster's cats and kittens blog, Karen Nichols recently showcased some amazing shots of cat graffiti.

Inspired, I decided to look for even more examples of illicit kitty street art.
